Hi…yes it’s really me and I feel privileged that you have stopped by to meet me! Within this blog I would like to bring the many good things and a few bad of being a family caregiver, but before we go into all the ins and outs I would like to introduce myself to you.

Hello,

My name is Donna G. Harris and I am the creator of Caregiving Essentials and a very strong believer in God.  I am a daughter, a mother, and a grandmother of 4 sweethearts who stole my heart the day they were born ranging from 3 to 15.  

My caregiving journey has been quite a bumpy one, but in the end I am happy that I decided to keep mom here at home and be able to care for her in her twilight years.

My parents pastored one of the local churches here in this same town for many years.  I grew up in the church and I really depend upon God to direct my path. I am at 63 truly finding out who God really is! I am also just learning what God thinks about business and money. Oh I think I knew but I was afraid to say it but now I am not.

I became involved with “network marketing” close to 30 years ago with very little success but it has stayed in my blood and I have tried several companies down through the years.

About 7 years ago,  after my children were all grown,  I moved in with mom to help her out.  Little did I know she would come close to having a stroke and a blood clot in her leg and hear the doctor say that she could no longer live alone at 80+ years old.  Well…..guess what?  This has become my life.

I am still here with not only experience in MLM but now Caregiving and Online Internet Marketing too…

With much perseverance, I have followed my heart and now combine Caregiving and Online Internet Marketing.  I thank God every day for not giving up on me when many times I gave up on myself during trying times.

Now my passion has become helping others learn better strategies in caring for their aging parents and also how to care for themselves and along with that comes financial matters.  I implemented the two a few years ago and became acquainted with “Empower Network.”.

I have been very fortunate enough to have found a personal coach and I am learning so many strategies that I want to help others who are struggling with network marketing and online marketing and begin to Pay It Forward..  I am overjoyed that I have found the luxury of working right here at home where I can keep a close eye on mom without sacrificing my passion.

This is my life now as I know it and until the next chapter begins I will keep plugging along and taking the challenges of caregiving and my financial matters by the horns and learn NEW and CREATIVE ways to make my life better and help others who are interested in learning from other people’s experiences and find a little hope and a light at the end of the tunnel.

Well here I am with mom now at 93 and I am able to collect Social Security, wowww…..I will make lemonade out of the lemons that I get.

What is your passion? That’s my question to you today. My dream is to Empower Caregivers and put hope back into your lives. I am one of YOU…
